Mountain Valley Rodeo and Parade

Heber knows how to do a parade! It was such a good one! Here is one of the clowns that walked along the parade route making balloon creations for kids.

Tayler with a flower.
Preslie wanted a doggie.
Jeff's new jeep, Will loooves it!
Like father, like son.....Wheely Willy! So funny, he gets going as fast as he can and then pulls up the front end. I think he is genetically programmed to do that.

And here's the newest addition to the family, Zeke, the red healer puppy. Just like Zeke the red healer dog we had years ago. Zeke was a legend in our family and I got a little teary to hear that we have a new little Zeke. Can't wait to see if he is the smartest dog ever.

Zeke, Jr.

Cortnie and Tayler ready for the rodeo. The rodeo was great. After the motorcycle jump about mid way through the show and it was back to the horses and bulls, Preslie kept asking for the "gogocycle". One jump wasn't enough for her. Cortnie ran into the rodeo queens and they signed some glossy 8x10s for her. Cute!

Memorial Day

We made the annual rounds to the cemeteries to clean up the graves for Memorial Day, let me rephrase, so Jay and Garret can clean the graves.
Here's Jace, doing his "fast run". He's a sprinter.
Garret and Preslie. "Rock"?
Wheeeeee......
Gram Webb and her new "wheels on wheels".
Preslie, Jenna, me, Garret, Jace and Trulie
Too many good guys gone too soon. We sure miss them.

Black and White Days

We visited both Grandmas while we were in town. Here's a 4 generation of me, Preslie, Jenna and mom, overlooking Mill Hill in Lewiston. Love those pink cowboy boots!
Jami changed into her fabulous purple dress at Grandma Webbs.

Jami found out about 10 minutes before the Black and White parade that she would be riding solo in the convertible, much to her dismay!
Jeff picked up Grandma Webb in Bill's sweet Cadillac and brought her over to the parade. Thanks, Jeff and Jill! Here's the rest of Jami's cheering section, Jeff and Jill's family, Trulie and Jace, Trulie's sister Taitum and her kids, Jenna and Preslie.

We were so excited to see Josh in the Sky View marching band.
Go Josh!
Jami was in the parade this year because she is going to Girls State, sponsored by the American Legion and auxiliary. I have been in the auxiliary for 20ish years and was hoping all 3 of my girls would go to Girls State. Hooray, done! (I should mention Garret went to Boys State, too :)
Will!
It was fun to go to Black and White this year, we hadn't been back for a few years. We lived in Richmond for 18 years and were involved in the parade for a lot of those years. We have fond memories, dear friends and lots of funny stories from those Richmond years.

Happy 17th Jami

Jami woke up to a decorated front door and balloons along the sidewalk, her friends did it at about 2am. They gave me heads up so I didn't call 911 if I heard them, because they knew I wouldn't hesitate to call :)
Birthday morning ebelskivers
We surprised Jami with ifly! It's right here in Ogden and we hadn't tried it yet.
This is her "flight instructor"
She's flying!
Indoor skydiving! 120 something mph wind tunnel.
Suited up and fly ready. They were having a 2 for 1 special for Fathers Day but Jay had no interest so Nate flew too. They both loved it.
Happy 17th bday, Jami. You are awesome. Cute, smart, nice, fun, funny. Love you!

Jay's cute little garden

The first fruits of our harvest: radishes
It's amazing how many plants this tiny little garden will hold!
Thanks to Jeff and Jill for the iron ornamentals adorning the garden and yard, love 'em!

Cortnie's 4th grade Rendezvous Roundup

Cortnie called me the night before her program and said "Grandma, are you coming to my program tomorrow night at 6? I have a part and I was wondering if you could come." Well, there was no way I could deny that sweet little voice!  Her parents were kind of surprised to see me and Jami because they didn't know Cort had called to remind me.  We had talked about it a few weeks ago but didn't really make plans, so that was fun.  It was so cute!
Cortnie had a big speaking part, she was part of a skit that was cute and funny and full of Utah history.
After the singing and speaking they cleared out the gym and the kids square danced and  line danced for us and then they invited partners from the audience to line dance, too.  Yee Haw!
Cortnie told us they had practiced twice a day for weeks preparing for the program, she said she had everyones parts memorized :)
What a cute little cowgirl!  How did she get to be 10! I remember being 10!

Good job, Cort. Love you!

Womens Conference

Me, Natalie and Dani
Womens Conference was so good again this year.  I really don't enjoy crowds all that much, but with thousands of happy, smiling, hurrying, treat eating, spiritual women as far as the eye can see.....it was a great day.  It was crazy to run into Denise...twice!  Love my two buddies from the ward, Natalie and Dani, thanks for the fun day!
